EP 100: Chelsea Movilla-Diago on How Her Son’s Down Syndrome Diagnosis Deepened Her Faith

Hearing from the OB that your child may have Down syndrome would throw anyone’s world upside down. The grieving process for what your child’s life might have been, without any kind of diagnosis, takes time. For Catholic creative Chelsea Movilla-Diago, the Catholic wife and mother behind TheCatholicKitchen.com, her son’s in utero Down syndrome diagnosis changed her in many ways…and, she would say, for the better.

In this episode of The Catholic Mama podcast, I got a chance to chat with Chelsea about her journey to the Catholic faith, motherhood, and how her fourth child’s Down syndrome diagnosis has made her more faith-filled and a more present and patient mother.

And what a beautiful time to get to hear Chelsea and her family’s story as March 21st is International Down Syndrome Day. Learn more about raising awareness for those who have Down Syndrome here.
