Like many (most) moms and dads, I’m busy. I have three small children, two family businesses, a podcast, a blog, a fiction novel in process, and a freelance editing position. I make dinner nearly every night and clean my own house. I pray every morning. My husband and I like each other. I spend a lot of free time with my kids.
There’s a lot going on there. And because of this full work load and my seemingly intact pysche, I often get asked how I fit all this in. It boils down to three main cocepts:
- Being high in the standards to which you hold yourself.
- Being high in the mercy you allow yourself when you fail.
- Separating the chaff from the wheat when it comes to the tasks, goals, and opportunities you dedicate yourself to.
In this episode, I discuss why we should not abandon the To Do List, how we can redefine the To Do List so that it’s infinitely more useful than a never-ending list of bullet points, and outline a basic plan to get you started.

I’d love to hear in the comments: Are you a To Do List believer or have you had enough of it?
