No matter what side of the political aisle you sit – or if you refuse to take a side! – it’s impossible to not notice the uncertainty and angst permeating every corner of American life at the moment. What’s a Catholic to do?
Katherine Ocello of Loves Jesus and America Too joins me on this episode of The Catholic Mama podcast to discuss how a Catholic might proceed through these turbulent social-political times.
This episode doesn’t provide any “hot takes” on the up-to-the-minute news but rather encourages the faithful to take heart. There’s much to be done now, even and especially if it’s concentrated on the interior life.
Also around the 16:00 minute mark, I mention a book that I can’t remember the title of. Welp! I figured it out :-P…It’s Eleanor Stump’s Wandering in Darkness. My husband particularly recommends the sections on biblical evidence of suffering (much of which centers on Job). FYI: It’s a bit pricy for paperback but is slightly more affordable in Kindle format.
