If you’ve ever found yourself saying “I’ll be happy if…” or “I’ll be happy when…” and then found that when those if’s and when’s finally came true, you still didn’t find the happiness you expected, you are not alone! So often we look for our happiness in external circumstances and hoped-for experiences, and in the meantime, before we achieve those benchmarks, we find ourselves in the midst of suffering and inner turmoil.
In this episode of The Catholic Mama podcast, I’m joined by my friend Lauren De Witt of The Contemplative Homemaker, a fellow Catholic convert, wife, and mother, and we chat through our own experiences and the thrash we found ourselves in by placing our hopes for peace in the wrong places.
Also be sure and connect with Lauren at her website TheContemplativeHomemaker.com.
